About Adjani

Adjani Jenkins-Lemar is a licensed social worker, healthcare systems educator, consultant, and program developer. She founded AJL Consulting Group to help individuals, families, caregivers, professionals, and organizations understand complex healthcare systems and make informed decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

Her work is grounded in approximately six years of experience across emergency, trauma, inpatient, outpatient, primary care, rehabilitation, long-term care, chronic disease management, and community-based healthcare settings. Across those environments, she saw the same structural problem repeatedly: people were expected to coordinate care, understand coverage, complete complicated processes, communicate across systems, and make major decisions without being taught how the system worked.

Adjani developed AJL’s healthcare systems literacy approach to address that gap. Her work helps people identify responsibility, oversight, accountability, available mechanisms, documentation needs, and practical follow-through. She also develops presentations, participant tools, implementation resources, and organizational programs that translate complex systems into usable knowledge.

A Track Record of Building What’s Missing

Across her career, Adjani has repeatedly developed practical solutions where usable systems, processes, or resources did not yet exist. Her work has included creating operational guidance for complex healthcare processes, developing regulatory workflows and reference systems for social-services operations, and building a diabetes intervention program from grant criteria into an operational model of care. The diabetes program was later reported to have surpassed its fiscal-year A1C goal based on clinical laboratory data.

Her independent resource development has followed the same pattern: identify a practical need, build something usable, and make that knowledge transferable. Resources she has independently developed have been purchased by customers in the United States, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

AJL Consulting Group brings that longstanding builder approach into an organization she owns- combining systems analysis, healthcare education, program development, and practical resource design.
